The Village of
Faehaven
Kindred to Grierden, the village of Faehaven is one of the locations in Lyndil that suffered the worst during the rule of the previous Royal Family, having to uproot their entire village from its initial location to escape the traumas and shadows left behind by the past. Once nestled in Murkhallow Forest, Faehaven was once a peaceful village loyal to the Crown, until the late king wrought terror upon the villagers. At the time, of the "Red Twilight", as the villagers solemnly refer to it, tensions were high in the many townships and cities, rumors reaching the king that the women were dabbling in witchcraft in hopes of working with the dark to take him down.
Without a second thought, the King ordered his men to wipe the village clean of its women, no matter their age. Terror broke out amongst the people as mothers, grandmothers, and daughters were slain, the darkness of the night illuminated by the reds and oranges of the flames. After the events of the Red Twilight, the people turned their backs on the monarchy, becoming the catalyst for the coup that took the royal family down. Now, the village has moved elsewhere, the tragedy making them believe that the forest itself had become cursed with the anger and the blood of the fallen.
