The City of
Grireden
The city of Grireden is Lyndil's largest port city, located in the uppermost western part of the kingdom. This heavily populated port city was once the pride and joy of the kingdom, the many imports and exports shipped day in and day out providing Lyndil with most of its capital. Unfortunately at present, the city has seen better days, the former monarch's greed and lust for fortune running the port and its people ragged, to the point where many of its residents fled the country to seek asylum in another after losing their homes and livelihoods to unliveable wages and high taxes.
Thankfully, after the overthrowing of the former monarchy, the new royal family has been doing their utmost to ensure the safety and well-being of their people. Much is being done to reform and provide relief to families in each of the townships and cities in Lyndil, Grireden being their top priority. The residents who have remained there are quiet and solemn, most of their vitality sucked out of them from the years of poverty they endured. Still, there seems to be a flicker of hope in every soul who resides there; the hope that they will finally see the sun.
