Swindmore Forest

Easily Etharia's largest forest in the region, Swindmore Forest was once Firefly Valley's first natural line of defense for its entire western border and much of its northern border. The dense mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as its many large and nearly uncrossable waterfalls, proved quite useful and beneficial for the valley's protection during Etharia's earlier days prior to the continent's unification. At present, Swindmore Forest is now merely an attraction for environmentalists, tourists, and campers alike-it's many manmade and animal-made trails provide much-needed guidance through the overly dense and large expanse of woodlands and allow for travel from in and out of the region to the west.
Despite many non-Etharians' gripes about having such a large expanse of land remaining untouched for so long, those of Etharia take great pride in Swindmore, the woodlands under critical protection from manufacturers both inside and outside of Etharia looking to clear the land for housing or other business ventures. The forest remains home to most of the region's biodiversity and the many firefly species Firefly Valley earned its namesake from, which are under constant protection and care by scientists and entomologists from across the continent. There is still much of Swindmore that has remained undiscovered, with many locals and campers alike delighting in tales of forest sprites and gods who watch over the forest and care for the life within it.
