Murkhallow Forest
Making up the southwesternmost tip of Lyndil is the dense, temperate forest of Murkhallow, once home to the original location of Faehaven. However, after the events of the Red Twilight, the location was abandoned, leaving the remaining homes and other structures to waste away. The village's cruel and violent history has rendered Murkhallow Forest haunted by the souls of the innocent.
Most residents of Lyndil do not dare step foot into the woods, but it has become a popular place for witches and seers, as well as alchemists in need of foraging ingredients. It is common knowledge to those who travel through Murkhallow that one must pay their respects to the ruins of old Faehaven before attempting to leave the forest, lest you take a lonely spirit home with you; or even worse- be trapped there forever.
